About Armana
Systems
Armana Systems helps to protect and enhance the vital assets in companies
and organisations: People and Information.
The growing mine-field of legislation and bureaucracy facing
organisations today coupled with the complexities of maintaining
reliable information security, frequently hamper business
progression by seriously diverting management time and valuable
resource. For some, an alternative is to hide their head in the
sand; but this is only stalling for time and can have extremely
damaging and costly consequences. Effective policy management
systems and information security precautions are now critical
business-enablers, rather than 'nice-to-haves'.
Armana is able to put at your service, top industry expertise in
Policy Management and Information Security. We work with some of the
world's leading software developers of powerful management tools and
robust security solutions. This unique combination enables Armana to
provide highly cost-effective advice and solutions to minimise risks
and threats to you and your organisation. That means you and your
colleagues can concentrate totally on your core business and
operational issues.
Armana Systems LLP was founded by Paul Godden and
Phil Goff. Both have been in the IT security industry for the
past 12 years and have been involved in introducing many of the
technologies that are commonplace today. Each have their own
"entrepreneurial spirit" and it is the combination of these skills
and in-depth understanding of the security market and requirements
in business that make Armana the dynamic and unique organisation it
is.
Paul Godden
Prior to Armana Paul played a key role in Integralis, a
very successful UK Security Integration company and broadly
acknowledged as having “created” the security market. First in his
capacity as Sales Director, and latterly through his role as MD of
Integralis UK, Paul was instrumental in helping Integralis achieve
its expansion plans and at the same time developed a growing
interest in the idea of “creating a security culture” within an
organisation. As a result he successfully led Integralis Ltd to full
BS 7799 (ISO 27001) accreditation, which it gained in March 2002. As
a strong advocate of security best practice, Paul has written many
articles on the subject and remains fully committed to helping other
companies develop a security focused culture throughout their own
organisations.
Paul through his respective positions, has become extremely
knowledgeable in computer security and employment law and how the
two areas interact together. Having been involved in employment
tribunals and leading Integralis through BS 7799 it has become
obvious that there is room in the market for a company to specialise
in “Securing the Individual”.
Phil Goff
Phil has been a computer professional for 21 years and that time has
been spent in systems security and related technical and management
activities. His network and systems experience range from PC
networks to Mainframes. Along with his extensive TCP/IP skills and
security product knowledge, he has considerable Microsoft
Networking, DECNet and SNA skills as well. Of the time in the
industry, he spent 6 years with the Ministry of Defence as a
Scientific Officer working with many, very sensitive, data systems
and data handling projects.
The next 10 years were spent with a major security systems
integrator implementing and managing many TCP/IP integration and
security projects (including computer audit and assessment testing),
providing IP/networking consultancy, training and the writing and
delivery of technical and product training material. He held many
posts within that company and was Technical Director of their
distribution company before forming Armana. |
