CyberGatekeeper LAN

The division between the trusted network and untrusted network has traditionally been a fixed perimeter. This concept is no longer adequate because systems routinely cross between untrusted and trusted networks. An infected system can quickly infect other systems on the network after catching a virus on the Internet.

The corporate LAN is especially vulnerable because network resources are more open and prevalent. To remain safe and productive, the network must ensure that all systems are compliant with corporate security policies without impeding workflow.

CyberGatekeeper LAN: The Solution

CyberGatekeeper LAN hardens the existing network by only giving access to compliant systems and keeping dangerous systems out. Non-compliant systems are automatically quarantined until remediation brings them back into compliance.

Unlike endpoint enforcement solutions, CyberGatekeeper LAN restricts access for all non-compliant systems, even those without the agent or client software. By failing closed, CyberGatekeeper LAN ensures the integrity of the network for all systems using it.

Specific capabilities provided by CyberGatekeeper LAN include:

  • Achieves comprehensive policy compliance

  • Ensures antivirus and software updates

  • Continuously audits networked systems

  • Is fully scalable

  • Supports centralized management and custom tests

  • Allows efficient remediation

How CyberGatekeeper LAN Works

CyberGatekeeper LAN checks systems for compliance with security policies, and grants access based on the results.

CyberGatekeeper uses the network to enforce policy compliance for end systems. Because the network enforces compliance, users and systems cannot circumvent the solution by changing the endpoint software or configuration.

If a system fails to comply with policy, CyberGatekeeper returns a message to the user indicating the appropriate steps to take, which may include an option to self-remediate through a patch or update. The user can then update their system before accessing the network.
